Hi again, I'm Shivam Pandey.

I'm doing a PhD building explainable AI algorithms and a remote, IoMT-enabled tech pipeline for elderly care. I hail from the north-central part of India and grew up in my home city, Lucknow, before spending a few years living near the lakes and mountains near the Shivalik ranges, and later in the national capital. After wandering through technology and business schools, and living in different places, at 28, I now live in Bergen, Norway.

How to pronounce my name

shee-vum paan-day

(Shivam means "the auspicious one" โ€” though mostly it just means I get called "Shiva" by spellcheckers and avid readers (often, I get called "Shivan"). I am okay with all of it.๐Ÿ˜Š)

I have a unique record of catching every possible mode of transport at the very last minute โ€” sprinting at full speed, breathing my absolute hardest.
Once, I showed up to give an exam a day before the actual exam date. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ
I went to see my friends off at the airport and ended up joining their trip, completely unplanned.
The first time I travelled by bus on a mountain cliff road, it caught fire. That entire journey was fun.๐Ÿ˜‚
Once my night out with friends scaled up so long that we ended up in a city 200 km away from home in shorts with a bike.
Very recently, I went to a symposium to present a poster โ€” and forgot the poster. ๐Ÿ˜ถ

A recent poem I drafted while sitting by my window

With the drizzle of drops
At midnight where the lights pop

With the music,
With the view,
My window makes sure
I get through.

The droplets beat
In time with my playlist on repeat
In the lap of nature
I forget the future.

Make it last,
Make it longer
Drive the night past,
Hold it a little stronger.

Keep the moment,
Face the mirror,
Find yourself,
Forget the incompletes, inconsistent, and the fear.
